Fjord Sailing in Alaska

In June, we flew west for Anthony’s brother’s wedding and afterwards departed from Seattle to do an Alaskan cruise with the Magliozzi’s. The trip was filled with highlight after highlight but one of the biggies was an excursion we took on a smaller boat through the fjords and around the glaciers — it was true Alaska in all its pine tree lined, black bear dotted, bitter cold glory.

Alaska was never on my radar until Anthony’s brother Dan suggested this trip. I was honestly pretty apathetic towards this trip until we got there and I saw first-hand all the beauty I’d been missing down there in the “continuous forty-eight”.

My favorite memory from the trip was being able to sit in the hot tub during golden hour and watch all the mountains pass while we sailed on the most glass-like water. Un. Freaking. Real. My other favorite memory was karaoke night on the cruise ship. Anthony brought the house down with his enthusiastic rendition of Piano Man. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again and again and every day until I die — he’s the life of every party. I’ll post the video on my Instagram stories because I feel like everyone needs to see him in all his glory.

Here’s some of my favorite pictures from the fjords and some other adventures!
